‘Simon Says’ – Sound Devices Announces Wireless Event at Elstree Studios with Simon Hayes
Academy award and BAFTA-winning production sound mixer will share his experiences and demonstrate the Sound Devices Astral wireless system
BOREHAMWOOD, UNITED KINGDOM, December 7, 2023 — Sound Devices has announced that they will be holding ‘Simon Says’ a free wireless seminar and industry networking event hosted by Oscar-winning production sound mixer Simon Hayes. Hayes will demonstrate how he has been making use of the Sound Devices Astral wireless system – including the A20-Nexus portable wireless receiver, A20-TX and A20-Mini transmitters, and A20-RX wireless receiver – as part of his go-to workflow on feature film sets with a Q+A for industry professionals afterwards looking to learn more. In addition to this there will be hands-on time with all of the Sound Devices Astral family equipment with a special competition of the classic game ‘Simon’ that has been built into the Nexus receivers for the occasion. Refreshments will also be offered.

An industry veteran with thirty years under his belt, Simon Hayes has risen to be one of the preeminent production sound professionals of his generation.
